THE JOURNEY BEGINS

18 / 24 OF MARCH

Sian Ka'an Tulum

For one human being to love another: that is perhaps the most difficult of all our tasks, the ultimate, the last test and proof, the work for which all other work is but preparation. For this reason young people, who are beginners in everything, cannot yet know love: they have to learn it. With their whole being, with all their forces, gathered close about their lonely, timid, upward-beating heart, they must learn to love.

INTENTION

Laboratorio is not a retreat for the sake of escaping parts of life we are dissatisfied with, but it is a space to dig deep, and co create a sustainable connection with our truest selves.
We seek your fire, your talent, your passion.
There is nothing more healing than the chance to be of service and to contribute. Therefore we build a container where you can rediscover your passion and childlike nature.
Our dream is that you take this light home and keep sharing your flame.

Jivamukti Yoga by Elina

Jivamukti (Sanskrit for Liberated Soul) Yoga, offers a holistic approach to the technique of yoga, bringing together ancient spiritual teachings, vinyasa sequences (standing poses, backbends, forward bends, twists, inversions), chanting, intention setting, breath, relaxation & meditation.
Elina’s intention teaching is to facilitate a deep experience of yoga through a demanding and precise teaching style offering unconditional and gentle support.

Tea and Zen by Miriam

In this ritual of ultimate intentionality, we slow down and connect with each other.
The consciousness of a plant is equal in all cells; therefore, by drinking the juice of one leaf we ingest the whole wisdom of a tree.
Through the simple (but secretly complex) process of making tea, we come to honor simplicity and experience profound stillness. Tea is one of the oldest and most widely-known plant medicines. It offers us the opportunity to connect deeply to nature and to transcend time. It reveals to us how to honor water, the source of all life. By cultivating quietude as we watch the leaves unfurl, we come to know the peace that exists at our cores. We trust that the leaf will take us on a unique healing journey.

Breathwork by Miriam

The breath is one of the most powerful self-healing tools and has been used over centuries in ancient rituals and traditions to connect deeply to the self. By increasing the flow of energy through your body, your subconscious mind is able to release old memories and holding patterns. This process allows you to come back to your center with clarity and soothes your spirit.
Let your breath guide while sound carries you into your personal Mystery Land.

Kundalini Yoga by Sara

An uplifting blend of the spiritual and physical, Kundalini yoga releases nervous energies from the body to awaken your spirit and increases consciousness. Based on ancient healing techniques from India, Kundalini yoga combines dynamic movements, conscious breathing, meditation and the chanting of mantras to bring balance to the body, mind and soul.

5 Rhythms Dance

“5 Rhythms Dance is a soul journey. By moving the body, releasing the heart, and freeing the mind, one can connect to the essence of the soul, the source of inspiration in which an individual has unlimited possibility and potential.”

Temazcalli

A Temazcal is an indigenous mayan ceremony for healing and purification.
The sweat lodge symbolizes the mother’s womb and gives you the opportunity to overcome deep fears and honor your lineage.
Upon leaving the Temazcal the sensation has been described as a re-birth experience, re-uniting in the same world with a clearer vision and inner peace.

Cacao Ceremony

The Spirit of Cacao was one of the most revered of the ancient Mayan Deities. They called Cacao “The water that runs through the heart”. The cacao ceremony bridges the gap between science, the mystery and the heart.
During Cacao Ceremony, there is increased blood flow and nutrition to the brain, heart and skin, the whole body is nourished, awareness and focus is heightened and the opening of your heart is intensified.

She explores human consciousness by working with people one on one or in groups and weaving poems and stories. Her most recent work is called the Three Word Project, where she asks a person for 3 words and writes a poem for them on the spot.
“Some of my most cherished gifts are letters, poems, and cards from people I love. They have helped me to see myself more clearly, to feel seen and loved. When I happened upon a typewriter for the first time, it was like discovering I could play an instrument. I work with it as a channeling device for connecting the seen and unseen worlds. It brings me so much joy to share this gift and experience collective consciousness with others by the messages that come always meant to be read both ways. Words can be medicine or poison. I believe in using them with clear intention to create a more beautiful world.”

CHEF

“Since childhood I recognized a need to explore nature from a medicinal and nutritional level, always surrounded by its aromas, textures, colors and shapes. In this way I began to acquire knowledge, about Ayurvedic natural medicine, personalized diet design, body treatments, recognition of properties of food and medicinal plants, in order to keep the body and mind in harmony, regulating their balance through the food. My professional career began 6 years ago, acquiring culinary knowledge, understanding different cultures and their ways of cooking. Ayurveda is a tool that provides you with the management of each food and needs of each person, depending on their physical and mental constitution, through the flavors or “rasas” (Sanskrit word meaning alchemy). The importance of nutrition in this philosophy is that it offers us a natural discipline, teaches us to cultivate and restore health through a diet based on the care and needs of our body.”
